Indiana Pedestrian killed in Fatal Newton County Accident Tuesday

Newton County, IN – An Indiana teenager was involved in a fatal accident in Newton County, resulting in the death of a pedestrian. 

According to Newton County Sheriff’s Department reports, the incident occurred Tuesday on State Road 10 near County Road 570 E in Roselawn, Indiana. A 19-year-old from Lake Village, Indiana, was driving westbound when the vehicle collided with a 40-year-old pedestrian from DeMotte, Indiana, who was pronounced dead at the scene. The teen driver did not sustain injuries. 

An investigation into the incident is ongoing.  The identity of the victim is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
