Cass County, IN – A woman found herself in the hospital after becoming the victim of a drive-by shooting early Sunday morning.
According to Cass County Sheriff’s reports it happened early Sunday around 1:45 AM when Dispatch received a distressing 911 call reporting a woman with a gunshot wound. The incident occurred on the 1900 Block of Michigan Avenue in Logansport.
The victim, identified as a 29-year-old woman from Twelve Mile, was driving along State Road 25 in the 3000 block when an unknown vehicle pulled up beside her and opened fire, striking her driver’s side door. The woman sustained a gunshot wound to her leg but managed to survive the terrifying encounter. She was transported to Logansport Memorial Hospital for medical treatment, where she is now in stable condition.
An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
