Kankakee Grocery Store Employees Shaken by Bold Liquor Robbery Friday

Kankakee, IL – Employees at the S. Washington Ave. Jewel-Osco store were startled by the shattering of glass around 2 o’clock. Little did they know, it marked the onset of a robbery.

Kankakee city police reported that vigilant employees wasted no time and headed to investigate the source of the commotion. To their surprise, they encountered a masked intruder crawling through the shattered window, clutching a bag. The contents of this bag were a strange mix: three bottles of alcohol and two bottles of Coca-Cola.

No one was injured during the ordeal, but the employees couldn’t tell if the intruder was armed. Authorities are now on the hunt for the mysterious thief.
