Indianapolis Man Arrested After Two Robberies in 30 Minutes, Cash, Funyuns Recovered

Indianapolis, IN – IMPD detectives have arrested 55-year-old Alonzo Sansbury for allegedly robbing two northside businesses within 30 minutes and making off with cash and a bag of Funyuns.

According to Indianapolis Metropolitan police reports officers responded to robberies roughly 30 minutes apart on Friday. The first occurred at Dollar Tree on North Keystone Avenue, where the suspect attempted to use a fake $100 bill and then demanded money. The second robbery took place at Big Lots on North Allisonville Road, where the suspect brandished a handgun and stole cash and Funyuns.

Through surveillance footage, detectives identified Sansbury as the suspect. Using Automatic License Plate Reading technology, they tracked and arrested him at a gas station, recovering the stolen Funyuns.  Charges in the case of yet to be announced.
