Rensselaer, IN – Weston Cemetery in Rensselaer has become the unlikely setting for a disturbing trend: individuals driving golf carts over gravesites. This disrespectful behavior has led to a plea from the city for greater public mindfulness.

The City of Rensselaer and cemetery officials, addressing the gravity of the situation, have highlighted recent incidents where golf carts have allegedly traversed burial plots.

The Rensselaer Police Department will reportedly monitor the area to safeguard the cemetery’s sanctity and ensure such acts are not repeated. The community is being asked to show due respect to the departed, and those with information or concerns are urged to reach out to Weston Cemetery’s management.
