Lily, KY – The Kentucky State Police (KSP) Electronic Crime Branch has made a significant arrest in a child sexual abuse material investigation, targeting Mark Weston McFadden, aged 35. According to KSP, the arrest took place Thursday night following an extensive undercover Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) investigation.
The investigation into McFadden commenced after he was allegedly discovered uploading sexually explicit images of minors to an online social media platform. This discovery led to the execution of a search warrant on March 14, 2024, at McFadden’s residence in Lily, where his cellular phone and other devices used to commit the crime were seized for forensic examination.
McFadden faces severe allegations, including three counts of possessing material that portrays a minor under 12 in a sexual performance, a Class-C felony punishable by five to ten years in prison. He is also charged with possessing material portraying a minor over 12 but under 18 in a sexual performance, a Class-D felony that could result in one to five years in prison. McFadden is currently being held at the Whitley County Detention Center.
