Bourbonnais, IL – Three juveniles are in custody following a brief chase after deputies recovered a stolen vehicle and a firearm.
According to the Kankakee County Sheriff’s Office, the incident occurred shortly after 2 PM near N Stadium Dr and Armour Rd in Bourbonnais. The vehicle, reported stolen out of Chicago, was spotted by sheriff’s deputies. Two of the three occupants fled on foot, while the third was detained in the vehicle. With assistance from the Tri-County Auto Theft Task Force and local police departments, both fleeing juveniles were apprehended. A firearm was found on one of the suspects during the arrest.
The juveniles were turned over to the Tri-County Auto Theft Task Force for processing.
