Oak Park, IL – A daring theft spree has a Schaumburg business reeling as thieves made off with an estimated $11,400.00 worth of sewer lids and frames.

According to Oak Park police, the incidents, spanning from July 17th to August 8th in the 1000 block of Division in Oak Park, have left residents and authorities alike searching for answers.

Galaxy Underground, specializing in sewer and water installation for over three decades, fell victim to the audacious thefts. The criminals, still at large, targeted construction zones, removing 30 sewer lids and frames over several weeks, causing both confusion and concern among the community.

Law enforcement is urging citizens to be vigilant, particularly for a male suspect possibly driving a red truck. The brazen nature of the crime has stirred shockwaves throughout the region, prompting questions about the motives behind such an unusual theft spree.
