Chicago, IL – Chicago Bears icons Steve “Mongo” McMichael, Devin Hester are set to be inducted into the Hall of Fame on Thursday night in Canton, Ohio according to the Chicago Sun-Times. Joining them is Julius Peppers, who played four seasons with the Bears.
McMichael, a key figure in the Bears’ 1985 Super Bowl-winning team, racked up 92.5 sacks and numerous fumble recoveries during his tenure with the team after joining in 1981. Post-football, McMichael ventured into professional wrestling and has been battling ALS since 2021.
Devin Hester, renowned for his unparalleled kick and punt return skills, holds the NFL record for total returns. Hester’s career began with the Bears in 2006 and included a memorable touchdown in Super Bowl XLI. Julius Peppers, known for his time with both the Carolina Panthers and the Bears, accumulated 37.5 of his career 159.5 sacks while with Chicago.
The Hall of Fame induction is part of the NFL Honors ceremony happening Thursday night.
