Chicago Robbery Suspect Apprehended After TGI Fridays Heist in Oak Park

CHICAGO, IL – A Chicago man was arrested Monday in Oak Park after allegedly stealing a woman’s purse.

According to Oak Park Police it happened at the TGI Fridays on 401 N. Harlem Monday around 11:30 p.m. when a woman was attacked by an unidentified man and had her bag ripped from her at the restaurant.  

Police later located the man, identified as Trevor S. Smith near 1116 South Blvd and recovered the purse. Smith awaits bond hearings.
