Chicago Weather: Cooler Start to the Week, Severe Storms Expected Tuesday and Wednesday

Chicago, IL – Chicago residents are in for cooler, dry conditions today, followed by potential severe weather mid-week, according to the National Weather Service.

The region will see temperatures ranging from the low 60s to upper 60s on Sunday, with the lakefront areas experiencing slightly cooler conditions. Moving into Monday and Tuesday, temperatures will gradually rise with showers and thunderstorms likely, particularly late Tuesday into Wednesday.

These storms could become severe, with high chances of thunderstorm activity carrying into Wednesday. Temperatures are expected to drop slightly on Thursday, with a 20-40% chance of rain.
