COVID-19: 100 recoveries, Chebanse reports as 14 cases announced in Kankakee County

Kankakee County Health Department Officials announced Friday 14 new cases, including a children within the County limits, bringing case totals to 397.  Chebanse began reporting today for the first time via IDPH.

One new deaths was announced Friday by the Kankakee County Coroner’s Office, bringing death totals to 29.  This afternoon Illinois announced 3,137 new COVID cases, which is a new single day record high.

Two new recoveries were announced, bringing totals since the pandemic began to 101.

Six county zip codes announced an increase in case counts, per IDPH today, including Kankakee, Bradley, St. Anne, Pembroke, Chebanse and Manteno.

Here’s how cases break down across Kankakee County via confirmed Zip Codes entering the weekend:

  • 18 Cases (Manteno)
  • 61 Cases (Bourbonnais)
  • 20 Cases (Bradley)
  • 205 Cases (Kankakee)
  • 10 Cases (St. Anne)
  • 11 Cases (Momence)
  • 11 Cases (Pembroke)
  • 6 Cases (Chebanse)
