Gary, IN – Major Drug Bust in Gary Leads to Arrest of 64-Year-Old Man

Gary, IN – Detectives from the Gary Police Department (GPD) Narcotics and Vice Division executed a significant narcotic search warrant on January 10, 2024. 

According to police reports, the operation took place in the 500 block of Taney Place, following a series of undercover purchases allegedly linked to the distribution of over ten grams of heroin. The search led to the discovery of additional narcotics and drug paraphernalia. Aaron Cameron, 64, a resident of Gary, was arrested as the primary suspect in this case.

Charged with multiple felonies, including Dealing in a Narcotic Drug as a Level 2 Felony and Possession of Cocaine as a Level 6 Felony. The community is reminded that all accused individuals are presumed innocent until proven guilty. 

The GPD continues its efforts to combat drug-related issues and encourages residents to report illegal drug activities to the Narcotics Division at 219-886-0503, as part of their commitment to ensuring public safety.
