Homewood, IL – A Verizon Wireless store in Homewood was the target of an armed robbery on Monday morning, February 12, 2024.
According to the Homewood Police Department, the incident occurred at around 11:20 AM at the store located at 17575 S. Halsted Street. Two masked individuals, each armed with a handgun, entered the store and demanded money from the register. They managed to flee with an undisclosed amount of cash and merchandise. Fortunately, there were no injuries reported in the course of the robbery.
The Homewood Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Unit is actively investigating the incident and urges anyone with information to come forward.
