Rockford, IL – A shocking stabbing at a Rockford Walmart results in a young employee’s death and a Cadbery man’s murder charge.
The Rockford Police Department detailed that on the evening of March 24, 2024, an 18-year-old male Walmart employee suffered a fatal stabbing at the Northridge location. Authorities, arriving at the scene at 6:05 p.m., swiftly provided aid, but the victim later succumbed to his injuries at a nearby hospital. The suspect, 28-year-old Timothy Carter, identified as the assailant, had recently been a resident of both Kankakee and Ford Counties before being taken into custody.
Carter now faces a first-degree murder charge in the Winnebago County Jail.
