KANKAKEE COUNTY, IL – Illinois State Police (ISP) Division of Criminal Investigation Zone 1 arrested Kenneth L. Brown, a 35-year-old resident of Kankakee County, Wednesday on charges of child pornography. The charges against Brown include three counts of possession of child pornography, each classified as a Class 2 felony.
The arrest follows an extensive investigation that led to the execution of a search warrant on March 6, 2024, at Brown’s residence in the 4800 block of West Doris Drive in Kankakee. This operation reportedly revealed substantial evidence, supporting the charges. After thorough examination, the Kankakee County State’s Attorney’s Office approved the charges, culminating in Brown’s arrest earlier today. He is now being held at the Kankakee County Jail.
In the wake of these serious allegations, the ISP urges the public to remain vigilant and report any suspected criminal activities against children.
