Illinois, IL – A statewide AT&T outage is impacting some emergency services.

According to multiple public safety departments across Illinois, there is an ongoing AT&T wireless service outage affecting calls to 911 and other essential communications. The issue, first reported on social media, is preventing AT&T customers from making or receiving calls, including to emergency services, with no immediate resolution timeframe provided by AT&T as of the morning of February 22nd.

Residents are urged to use landlines or seek alternative communication methods for emergency contact during this outage. The public safety departments are actively notifying the community and monitoring the situation.
