MIDDLEBURY, Indiana – Two kids were injured Saturday when a Ford F250 pick-up clashed with a horse-drawn buggy on State Road 13.

According to reports it began around 10 a.m., when a 12-year-old boy steering the buggy reportedly attempted a left turn without signaling. A truck began to try and pass the buggy from the left at the time, resulting in the crash.

The young driver along with a 51-year-old Nappanee man in the pickup emerged unscathed. However, two young passengers, ages 8 and 5, weren’t as fortunate, sustaining arm and facial injuries respectively. They’re currently receiving care at Goshen Hospital.
