AURORA, Ill. – St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, located at 27 S. Edgelawn Dr. in Aurora, invites the public to the ribbon-cutting of its adult daycare center on Wednesday, Sept. 27, at 3 p.m. Admission and parking are free.

Opened since January, this center is one of the three locations offered by Ecumenical Support Services for the Elderly (ESSE), Inc., with the others in Wheaton and Glen Ellyn. Serving from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays, they ensure seniors receive comprehensive care, including medication, wellness checks, and hot meals.

Cathy Davit, Aurora ESSE executive director, emphasizes the center’s mission: “ESSE offers a safe nurturing environment enabling adults to participate in cognitive and physical activities during the day while caregivers get deserved respite.”
