Indiana High-Speed Chase: Teen’s Morning Pursuit Ends in Head-On Crash with Semi

Goshen, IN – A high-speed chase involving a teenage driver on Tuesday morning in Goshen, Indiana, ended in a dramatic head-on collision with a semi-truck. 

According to the Goshen Police Department, the chase started just after 10:30 a.m. when an officer attempted to stop a vehicle speeding along Pike Street. The pursuit escalated as the vehicle fled eastbound on Pike Street and then northbound on Elkhart Road.

The chase culminated when the 17-year-old driver, weaving through traffic, crossed a median and collided head-on with a semi near Ferndale Road and Elkhart Road. The teen suffered multiple injuries and had to be extricated from the wreckage. He was airlifted to a local hospital for treatment. Additionally, a 25-year-old motorist involved in the incident sustained minor injuries and was treated at the scene. 

The incident remains under investigation by local authorities.
