Indianapolis, IN – Alert Neighbor Rescues Man from Mobile Home Fire on Madison Ave

Indianapolis, IN – A vigilant neighbor rescued a 62-year-old man from a fierce mobile home fire at 4701 Madison Ave this morning.

According to the Indianapolis Fire Department, the fire broke out at 9:12 AM, with the quick-thinking neighbor pulling the occupant to safety. The rescued man was transported to Eskenazi Hospital in serious condition but is expected to recover. The neighbor, after a check-up on the scene, was released without injuries.

According to IFD and IMPD fire investigators, the fire, which was fully engulfing the mobile home upon the firefighters’ arrival, was ruled accidental. However, the specific cause remains unspecified. Remarkably, the fire was brought under control within 15 minutes by the IFD firefighters.
