Indianapolis, IN – An Indianapolis family, consisting of one adult and five children, has been displaced from their rental home following a significant fire outbreak at 2622 E Michigan St. The incident, which occurred in the early hours, prompted a swift evacuation of the premises.

According to the Indianapolis Fire Department (IFD), firefighters were met with intense flames at the rear of the property upon arrival, with adjacent structures also at risk. Thanks to an aggressive firefighting strategy, the blaze was contained to the original structure, preventing further damage to neighboring homes. Remarkably, the operation was brought under control within 30 minutes, and no injuries among the firefighters were reported.

The cause of the fire is currently under investigation. In the meantime, the landlord is actively collaborating with the affected family to secure alternative accommodation, with additional support being provided by the Red Cross.
