Indianapolis, IN – A firearm investigation has led to the arrest of a man and the seizure of drugs, guns, and cash.
On Thursday, detectives from the Indiana Crime Guns Task Force (ICGTF) apprehended 24-year-old Devon Vaughn for alleged illegal firearm possession, methamphetamine possession, and dealing in marijuana. According to IMPD News, detectives began investigating Vaughn after receiving information about his alleged involvement in dealing narcotics and possessing firearms.
Detectives reportedly observed Vaughn near the 7800 block of Island Club Drive, carrying a handgun and an AK-47-style rifle. Vaughn, already prohibited from carrying a handgun due to a pending case in Hamilton County, was taken into custody after officers secured a warrant and searched his apartment. Officials later reportedly discovered approximately 10 pounds of marijuana, 10 grams of suspected MDMA pills, drug paraphernalia, and several firearms.
Vaughn is currently awaiting formal charges from the Marion County Prosecutor’s Office.
