Jasper County, IN – Scam Calls Impersonating Sheriff’s Deputies Reported

Residents of Jasper County are being warned about a new phone scam where individuals are posing as deputies from the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office. These calls request personal information and provide a callback number.

According to the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office, several citizens have received such calls and voicemails. The office advises that unless you have requested their assistance, you should not respond to these calls or provide any information. To verify the authenticity of any calls from the Sheriff’s Office, residents are encouraged to contact the dispatch center. Official calls from the Sheriff’s Office will display the numbers 219-866-7344 or 219-866-7334 on caller ID.
