Jeep vs. Garbage Truck crash on Route 50 sends three to Hospital

KANKAKEE – Three people were hospitalized after a crash Tuesday morning involving a garbage truck.

According to Illinois State Police it happened around 9:30 a.m. when reports say a Jeep Patriot carrying two people ran a stop sign and plowed into the sanitation vehicle at Route 50 and 12000 N Road.

Drivers of both vehicles and the Jeep’s passenger were taken to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
