BRADLEY, ILLINOIS — After a week-long strike highlighting concerns over job security and subcontracting at CSL Behring, the International Chemical Workers Union Local 498C ratified a new contract on Wednesday.

The vote was close, with just over half of the union workers endorsing the new agreement. Details of the contract remain undisclosed. With the strike resolved, union workers are slated to return to their duties at 6 a.m. Thursday.

Although operations will recommence, the narrow approval suggests potential challenges ahead in addressing the broader concerns of CSL’s workforce amidst the company’s global financial ascent.
