Kankakee Police look for leads after Teen shot in Home

KANKAKEE – City police are looking for leads after a teenager was shot while in his home.

According to police it happened Saturday night in the 500 block of North 9th Avenue around 9:45 p.m. for a report of shots fired.  When they arrived they found a 15-year-old in a nearby home had been shot from outside the home.

The teen was transported to a nearby hospital to be treated for injuries.
