Lake County, IL – Community Tips Lead to Arrest of Man on over a Dozen Counts of Drug Trafficking

Waukegan, IL – Following multiple community reports, the Lake County Sheriff’s Special Investigations Group has arrested Travier L. Bunch, a 32-year-old resident of Waukegan, on charges related to the trafficking of fentanyl, meth, heroin, and other drugs. 

The arrest took place on May 9, 2024, after a detailed investigation by the task force, which is part of the High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area program. The operation revealed that Bunch sold drugs to undercover detectives and was in possession of various narcotics at the time of his arrest. He faces 17 alleged counts of Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Deliver. 

Bunch is currently held at the Lake County Jail, with a detention hearing scheduled for Monday, May 13. The Lake County Sheriff’s Office, along with the Waukegan and Gurnee Police Departments, expressed gratitude towards the community for their pivotal role in the investigation.
