Livingston County, IL – Fatal Cargo Van Fire at Truckstop

Dwight, IL – Early Thursday morning, a fatal cargo van fire at a truckstop in Livingston County, Illinois, resulted in the death of an unidentified man. 

The incident occurred at the Love’s Truckstop, located on Northbrook Drive in Dwight. Firefighters responded to the emergency call around 3 AM, arriving to find the van already engulfed in flames. Despite efforts to control the fire, it was too late for the occupant. The man’s remains were discovered after the fire was extinguished. He was pronounced dead at the scene. 

An autopsy is scheduled for the afternoon to determine the cause of death. Authorities are investigating the fire to understand its origin and cause.
