Springwater, NY – A Springwater resident in Livingston County is facing multiple felony and misdemeanor charges following an alleged domestic incident that prompted a late-night response from deputies earlier this week.
According to the Livingston County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were dispatched at approximately 10:56 p.m. on Wednesday, April 15, 2026, to a residence in the Town of Springwater for a reported domestic disturbance. Authorities said the call also involved a possible violation of an active order of protection.
Investigators allege that 35-year-old Kyle Rodriguez was involved in a physical domestic incident with a female victim. According to officials, the victim had an order of protection in place against Rodriguez at the time, prohibiting contact. Rodriguez had reportedly left the residence before deputies arrived on scene.
Following the investigation, Rodriguez was located and arrested on Saturday, April 18, 2026, by Deputy Brock Allen. He has been charged with felony aggravated family offense and felony criminal contempt in the first degree. Additional misdemeanor charges include criminal obstruction of breathing or blood circulation and harassment in the second degree.
Rodriguez was transported to the Livingston County Jail for processing and pre-arraignment detention. He was later arraigned at the Livingston County Centralized Arraignment Part, where prosecutors recommended bail at $10,000 cash or $20,000 bond. A judge ultimately set bail at $5,000 cash or $10,000 bond.
The Livingston County Public Defender’s Office represented Rodriguez at arraignment, while the District Attorney’s Office appeared on behalf of the prosecution. The investigation involved the Sheriff’s Office Patrol Division, Criminal Investigations Division, and assistance from the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office.
