Aurora Police Ask Residents to Stay Indoors Amid Undisclosed Incident Near Public Library

AURORA, Ill. – In response to an undisclosed incident near the Aurora Public Library (101 South River St), the Aurora Police Department has requested residents in the vicinity to remain in their homes until further notice. 

The incident, which prompted an ongoing investigation by officers, occurred on Saturday around 9:30 am. Authorities have assured the public that there is currently no immediate threat to their safety.

As a precautionary measure, South River Street has been temporarily closed between Benton Street and Downer Place. 

Residents are advised to avoid the area until the situation is resolved.
