BOURBONNAIS, IL – The Bourbonnais Friendship Festival announced recipients of the 2023 scholarships Monday.
In the Mianna Malone Scholarship category, Krista Surprenant emerges as the deserving recipient. This scholarship honors individuals enrolling or already enrolled in college or vocational training, emphasizing a strong commitment to community service.
Natalie Meyer is honored with the Friendship Scholarship, providing generous support for educational journeys in college or vocational training. The scholarship recognizes individuals’ dedication to personal growth and betterment.
The Lee Braford Scholarship, awarded to Ellery Rohr, acknowledges outstanding high school seniors devoted to community service. This scholarship pays tribute to Mr. Leeman Braford, a festival leader and volunteer, known for his selflessness, generosity, and giving spirit.
Larrigan Saindon is announced as the recipient of the Patte Thompson Scholarship, created to honor the memory of Patte Thompson, a long-time dedicated volunteer. The scholarship supports individuals pursuing higher education in college or vocational training.
The Bourbonnais Friendship Festival Inc., a non-profit organization dedicated to family-oriented entertainment and community support, is eagerly preparing for the grand opening of the festival on Wednesday at 5 pm.
