Firefighters Injured After Fire Engine Rolls into Ditch

KANE COUNTY, IL – Four Hampshire firefighters sustained injuries when their fire engine, Engine 1411, skidded sideways and rolled into a ditch while heading north on French Rd. 

The incident occurred around 9:30 a.m. Thursday morning between Lenschow Rd. and IL-72. Fortunately, all firefighters were able to self-extricate before being transported by ambulance for medical attention. The community expresses gratitude for their bravery and wishes them a speedy recovery. 

The cause of the accident is unknown at this time and under investigation.
