Residents spooked after Nuclear Plant alarm sounds in Morris Sunday

MORRIS – Residents were spooked Sunday by an audible alarm coming from the Dresden Power Plant earlier this morning.

According to Channahon Police, the alarm was heard by residents in the Highlands and Whispering Oaks Subdivisions coming from the Nuclear Plant.

Dresden Security Team reported the alarm was an unannounced drill, intended for training purposes only.

There is no health or security threat at this time to the Plant.
