GILMAN – A man was arrested last week after allegedly pushing two children out of a moving vehicle last week.
According to Iroquois County Sheriff’s Police, it happened in the 100 block of East Park Street last Wednesday. A witness reported to police they saw 40-year-old Jesse K McGehee push a 4 and 6 year old children from a car.
One of the two children had some injuries following the incident.
McGehee was taken into custody for Reckless Conduct Endangering a Child and Violating an Order of Protection along with Domestic Battery.
McGehee was convicted of Misdemeanor Domestic Battery in 2019. In December, he was shot by Iroquois County Sheriff’s Police after allegedly driving his truck into another car and pushing the vehicle toward deputies, “putting them in reasonable apprehension of receiving a battery.” McGehee had been out on $10,000 bond” following that incident.
