GRANT PARK, IL – The village of Grant Park was shaken Thursday as a wave of criminal activity swept through the area, leaving residents in shock.

Grant Park Police are now reaching out to the community for assistance in solving a series of brazen crimes, including an armed robbery at the local Circle K around 2:30 a.m. along with multiple car burglaries in the area.

According to police, it appears all the targeted motor vehicles were left unsecured, providing an easy opportunity for the perpetrators to strike.  At least one vehicle was stolen because, police say, the owner had left the keys inside the unlocked car.

Authorities are now urging anyone with relevant camera footage to come forward to aid in the investigation.
