The response from the community was truly remarkable, with numerous resources mobilized in record time. Newton County Sheriff’s Department, Kentland Fire Department, Newton County Emergency Medical Services, Jasper County Sheriff’s Department, Newton County Emergency Management Agency, Benton County Emergency Management Agency, Indiana Department of Natural Resources, Lake County Sheriff’s Department, Emergency Aerial Geographic Logistics Entity 1, Indiana State Police, and Newton County Corrections all played a vital role in the search effort.
