BEECHER – A reminder to lock your vehicles overnight as a suspect is in custody after multiple vehicles were stolen last week in town.

According to Beecher Police, it happened last Thursday and Friday at two separate homes on Lange Ave and Fox Hound Trail.  Both vehicles were unlocked at the time of the theft.

They’ve both since been recovered and are now being processed for evidence.  Beecher Police recovered the vehicles with the assistance of the Illinois State-wide Auto Theft Task Force.

No charges have been announced against the suspect as an investigation into the incident is ongoing.  Anyone with information into the thefts is asked to reach out to Beecher Police Sgt. DaCorte at adacorte@beecherpolice.org.
