Gunfire Erupts at Joliet Gas Station Tuesday, Man Injured

JOLIET, Ill — A 26-year-old man was shot in a vehicle at a Joliet BP gas station during the early hours of Independence Day. He sustained non-life threatening injuries and was taken to Ascension St. Joseph Hospital. 

Joliet Police found evidence of the shooting in the gas station’s parking lot. The investigation is ongoing, with no arrests made yet. 

Officials urge anyone with information to contact the Joliet Police Department or submit tips anonymously to Will County Crime Stoppers.
