Manteno, IL – In a coordinated operation early Thursday morning, Angel Gonzalez, a 30-year-old from Chicago Heights, was apprehended at his workplace in Manteno on multiple child sex-related charges.
According to the Kankakee Area Metropolitan Enforcement Group (KAMEG) and the Kankakee County Sheriff’s Department, the arrest follows an investigation into Gonzalez’s alleged attempts to solicit a minor via social media. He is facing several charges, including indecent solicitation of a minor, distributing harmful material to a minor, solicitation of child pornography, and grooming.
The agencies have underscored their commitment to safeguarding children from online exploitation and are urging parents to monitor their children’s internet usage closely.
