Gary, IN – A 21-year-old Merrillville man was fatally shot at a Citgo gas station in Gary early Monday.
According to the Lake County Coroner’s Office, Christian Farmer was pronounced dead at 1:58 a.m. after sustaining multiple gunshot wounds. The incident occurred at the Citgo located at 4700 Broadway. The family of the deceased identified him at the scene.
A forensic autopsy performed at the Lake County Forensic Center confirmed the cause of death as homicide. The Gary Police Department, Lake County Sheriff’s Department CSI, and Lake County Prosecutor’s Homicide Task Force are investigating the incident.
