Multiple Vehicle Accidents on I-80 Eastbound Near Morris, IL Amid Icy Conditions

Morris, IL – Icy road conditions have led to at least four separate vehicle accidents on Interstate 80 eastbound, between mile markers 115 and 116 near Morris, Illinois. One of these incidents involves a jackknifed semi-truck. 

According to local authorities, the Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) has been requested to dispatch salt trucks to the area to address the slippery conditions. 

Drivers are advised to exercise caution and allow extra travel time this morning, as crews work to manage the situation and ensure road safety. The icy roads have significantly impacted traffic flow and pose a risk to motorists in the region.
