Naperville, IL – In a notable enforcement action at Naperville’s TopGolf, the Naperville Police Department and the DuPage County State’s Attorney’s Office reported the arrest of two men on consecutive days for allegedly having loaded guns in their vehicles.
Dijon Lane, 34, of Blue Island, and Tavell Jackson, 44, of Maywood, have been denied pre-trial release following their charges, which include allegations of Armed Habitual Criminal and Unlawful Use of a Weapon by a Felon among others. The incidents occurred on March 29 and 30, 2024, showcasing the vigilant efforts of Naperville police officers patrolling the popular recreation venue.
Lane’s arrest on the 29th came after police reportedly detected an odor of cannabis from his vehicle and subsequently reportedly found a loaded firearm. Jackson’s detainment on the 30th involved the discovery of a reported handgun in his vehicle, along with alleged possession of 12.4 grams of crack cocaine.
The legal proceedings for both men are underway, with Lane scheduled for an arraignment on April 22 and Jackson on April 29, 2024, both before Judge Margaret O’Connell.
