CALLAWAY, FL – A Florida house party took a dark turn on the Fourth of July when a violent altercation resulted in a woman losing part of her ear.
According to Bay County Sheriff’s Office (BCSO), officers responded to the incident at 6526 Olokee Street on July 4th where tempers flared over a dispute involving alcohol and vape pens.
Macy Regan, 23, became the center of the conflict as Dixie Stiles, 18, accused her of stealing alcohol and vape pens during the unsupervised gathering. The argument escalated quickly, leading to a physical confrontation.
In the heat of the moment, Regan reportedly brandished a 9MM handgun from her waistband, but Stiles managed to avert a potentially disastrous outcome by pushing the firearm away. However, the altercation took a gruesome turn when Regan allegedly bit off the top of Stiles’ ear, inflicting severe injuries, including multiple bruises and lacerations. Unfortunately, medical professionals were unable to reattach the severed ear.
Both women were apprehended by authorities, with Dixie Stiles facing charges of battery – touch or strike, while Macy Regan faces the more serious charge of felony battery causing bodily harm.
The investigation into the case remains ongoing.
