NFL cancels first game due to pandemic

The NFL has canceled the 2020 Hall of Fame game between the Cowboys and Steelers, scheduled for August 6th.

The decision is a prelude to shortening the preseason, a move that continues to be discussed by the league. The Hall of Fame induction ceremony has also been postponed and won’t happen until 2021.

This year’s induction class included Super Bowl Champions Bill Cowher, Jimmy Johnson and Troy Polamalu.

According to multiple reports, both the Steelers and Cowboys just a few of the third of NFL teams that had a player recently test positive for COVID-19 during the off-season.
