Plane sustains damage after emergency landing at Bloomington-Normal Airport

BLOOMINGTON – A small aircraft received damage after an emergency landing was made Thursday.

According to officials at Central Illinois Regional Airport, the single engine craft was traveling from Florida to Wisconsin when it had to make the emergency landing.  The plane’s two passengers were unharmed but the airplane sustained damage after landing in a safety area.

The accident remains under investigation.
