Two teens arrested after shots fired in Kankakee

KANKAKEE – A pair of teens were arrested after shots were fired earlier this week.

According to Kankakee City Police, it happened Wednesday in the 200 block of West Chestnut street.  The teens later ditched their vehicle and a foot chase ensued before they were taken into custody in the 1900 block of East Pine.

Police later discovered six shell casings on scene.  No further details have been released on the cause as the incident remains under investigation.
