Putnam County, IN – Nature’s power has shown through in Putnam County, as a huge hole has opened up right under County Road 825 East, just south of County Road 750 South. This big gap has forced the road to close, because it’s just too dangerous right now.

The Putnam County Sheriff’s Office has been clear as of Sunday: the road is totally off-limits. Even with a funny guess at what might have happened to a now missing roadblock, they’re serious about keeping people safe. They’re telling everyone to stay away from the area, follow the detour signs, and let the right people know if you accidentally damage anything.

The county is working hard to fix the road fast and keep everyone out of harm’s way. So for now, remember that this road is closed, and taking another way around is your best bet.
