Route 113 Closed Due to Downed Power Lines After Semi-Truck Incident

Grundy County, IL – The Grundy County Sheriff’s Office has announced a temporary closure on Route 113 between Wall Street and Redmond Street in Diamond, Illinois. 

According to the Sheriff’s Office, a semi-truck has caused power lines to be pulled down, necessitating the closure for safety reasons. The road will remain closed until ComEd crews can safely remove the lines and restore power. 

Commuters are advised to seek alternative routes and to stay updated on the situation. The estimated time for reopening the road has not been disclosed.
