Homewood, IL – Authorities in Homewood are investigating after several shell casings were discovered Sunday night, following reports of gunfire. The Homewood Police Department responded to the scene in the 18100 block of Center around 8:08 P.M. on March 31, 2024, where officers found evidence of a shooting.
The investigation revealed that the shots were fired during a disturbance at a residence in the area, though the individuals responsible had fled by the time police arrived. No injuries have been reported from the incident, which is currently believed to be targeted and not random.
